FREDDIE is the ultimate mobile forensics solution and is designed for use “On Location” at digital/electronic forensic crime scenes. Simply remove the hard drive(s) from the suspect system and plug them into FREDDIE and acquire the electronic evidence. FREDDIE is designed to acquire data directly from IDE/EIDE/ATA/SATA/ATAPI/ SCSI I/SCSI II/SCSI III hard drives and storage devices. FREDDIE is also capable of handling 3½ inch floppies as well as CD-ROM and DVD. FREDDIE uses the same motherboard, and many of the same components, as the FRED unit. In fact, the removable devices in the custom forensic bays can be used in both FRED and FREDDIE.
